CAST News Release
March, 2006
Sirius Software Quality Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce their attendance at the 2006 annual Conference of the Association for Software Testing (CAST) June 5-7, 2006,  in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The theme of this years conference is 'Influencing the Practice' - how theory, tools, and experience, influence software testing and development practices. "We attend many conferneces and tradeshows", said David Gilbert, President and CEO of Sirius SQA, "The really nice thing about CAST is that it is more of an academic conference than a trade show.  We are especially honored to be presenting there, because having a presentation accepted there means someone actually thinks what you are saying has value to the industry.  We are very flattered to be presenting with and to such a distinguished group of industry leaders."

ScriptTech Partnership Announcement
January, 2006
Sirius Software Quality Associates, Inc. is proud to announce a partnership with ScriptTech, Inc. ScriptTech’s TMX/TP and TMX 3.0 test automation and management tools allow a test team to write test scripts without time-consuming and expensive training using their intuitive keyword-driven “Point and Click” interface.  The TMX tools can then automatically generate TestPartner, WinRunner, SilkTest and other executable scripts as well as text based manual test cases.  TMX allows your team to build test scripts, both automated and manual, directly from requirements – in parallel with code development.
"We see a lot of parellels between what the team at ScripTech is doing and the value we are trying to bring our customers", said David Gilbert, President of Sirius-SQA.  "To date, we have focused on the creation and execution of individual test cases, and the mangement and documentation of the result gathered from those tests.  ScriptTech is more focused on the front end of that process, the design and long term maintenance of those tests.  The synergy is born from the fact that we both looked at manual tests as being very similar to automated tests in a data-structure context, so leveraging the technology they use to automatically create automated test scripts, and using it to create TestExplorer testcases, is a slam dunk."
An integration between the companies two products is in the planning stages, with the intent being for ScriptTech to be able to view TestExplorer as if it were just another of the many automated tools they already support.
“For test teams who are devoted to long term manual testing, this provides a much needed combination of long term care and feeding for those tests via ScriptTech, and unsurpassed execution and results gathering with TestExplorer.", said David. " Existing clients of both products will see great gains in productivity by using the products together.”

StarEast 2006 News Release
January, 2006
Sirius Software Quality Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce their attendance at the StarEast Conference and Expo, to be held in Orlando, Florida May 15-19, 2006.  "This will be our second year at StarEast", said David Gilbert, President and CEO of Sirius-SQA.  "It is the premier tradeshow in our industry, and we are really looking forward to being there again.  Last year was a wonderful experience for us, and led to several new partnerships and business opportunites.  Not only will this be a chance for us to get in front of many new prospective clients, and show off our latest build, but it will also be a time to visit old and new freinds, and discuss and debate issues at a different level than our daily jobs normally provide opportunties for."

In addition to having a booth at the expo, David has also been choosen as a tract speaker this year, and his presentation is entitled 'Exploratory Testing -- The Art of Exploration'.  "We feel that there is a de facto standard for results and output from any well executed test program;  and that de facto standard is largely driven by the output generated by automation tools.  But there is no reason that manual and exploratory testing cannot generate that same kind of output, if the proper tools are brought to bear on the process.  That is the main idea behind my presentation."  David will also be doing a vendor tract on TestExplorer, and demonstrating how it's use can add value to any manual testing process.

May, 2005
Sirius Software Quality Associates, Inc. is proud to announce a partnership with Bender RBT. Bender RBT Inc is the world’s leading expert in Requirements Based Testing (RBT). “Their approach to testing pushes quality higher upstream, which is perfectly in keeping with our philosophy” said David Gilbert, President of Sirius SQA. “We are very excited about this partnership, and the upcoming integration between our two products.”

The RBT process first ensures that the specifications are correct, complete, unambiguous, and logically consistent. Then a necessary and sufficient set of test cases, from a black box perspective, are created to ensure that the design and code fully meet those requirements. By integrating testing throughout the development life cycle the focus shifts from mere defect detection to defect prevention.

An integration between the companies two products is in the planning stages, with the intent being for BenderRBT to be able to export all of it’s generated test cases directly into TestExplorer projects for execution in TestExplorer.

“We feel this will offer a significant way for both of our clientelles to leverage their investments, and achieve a much higher level of quality in their testing process.” David said, “The synergies between our products is very strong; The ability to quickly generate what you know is the right testcases for your desired coverage, and then rapidly execute them and capture solid results, without the initial overhead of automation, is a powerful methodology, especially for test teams dealing with large amounts of new functionality.”

StarEast is one of the most well known, well attended, and well respected trade shows in our industry, and us having a booth there will strengthen our position as serious new player in the testing software industry.”
