Certified Scope Management Training

Sirius SQA has joined forces with 4SUM Partners and Quality Plus Technologies to bring professional SCOPE Management training and certification to the United States. This training, offered for the first time in North America, is based on the success of the northernSCOPE™ professional SCOPE Management concept. The nine-day training program is offered as two separate week sessions and culminates in the Certified SCOPE Manager exam!

Certified Scope Manager training provides a basic level of competancy in all of the necessary skills to become immediately productive as a CSM. You get hands-on information which you can use right away the next day at work. That’s not all – you also get a useful set of tools to support the management and estimation of projects.

The formal course is four days of intense training, followed by the certification exam. The contents of the training are listed below:

Day 1: Program Management TOOLKIT for Software and Systems Development (includes book and CD)	Concepts, project management knowledge areas, management proceses, special features of ICT development, management at the program & project level.
Day 2: Requirements Elicitation, Management, and Practical Project Estimation for Scope Managers (includes ISBSG book)	Clarifying user’s needs, performing analysis, describing use cases, definition of the problem field, description techniques, project characterization & classification principles, initiating a measurable and manageable project, situation & risk & reuse analysis.
Day 3: Functional Size Measurement and Baselining (includes The IT Measurement Compendium - book)	Functional size measurement (FSM), function points, FSM methods, determining functional user requirements,
Day 4: Experience®Pro for Scope Managers (includes fully licensed software)	Estimating project effort, change management and proposal assessment, quantifying and reporting, project closeout and data collection, reports and customer communication.
Day 5: Certified Scope Manager (CSM) Examination
